We offer enriched, nurturing and supportive early learning and childcare that has been thoughtfully designed with Indigenous children and families in mind. Our goal is to create a safe and happy experience that fosters a lifelong love of learning.
Stz’uminus Primary School
Formerly called the Bambi School & S-hxixnu-tun Lelum Primary, Stz’uminus Primary School welcomes junior kindergarten to grade four students. Our school integrates hul’q’umi’num’ language and culture with the BC Curriculum and is in the process of implementing Hul’q’umi’num’ Immersion programs. Students enjoy land-based learning in the forest, on the ocean and in a learning big house enriched with cultural teachings from Elders.
Stz’uminus Community School
The Community & Senior Secondary School serves students from grades five through twelve. Because of our low teacher turnover, we have a school community with educators who know both the students and their families. Our classes all have very low student teacher ratios enabling better access to teacher support and personalized educational experiences.
Stz’uminus Lifelong Learning
We are committed to helping people reach their educational goals at any age or stage of life. We provide quality educational opportunities and support for adults whether they are pursuing high school graduation or preparing for post-secondary education.
Culture & Language
We are Coast Salish People who have lived around the Salish Sea for thousands of years. We are a dynamic self-governing community, woven together by shared values, close relations and a bright future. We’re setting ambitious goals for our future while remaining true to our traditions.
